The Man Who Squeezed His Wife To Death In Makassar Was Arrested By The Police
Makassar Police revealed the murder case of a woman with the initials KA (21) who was found rotting in her rented house on October 21, 2024 on Bontoduri Street, Tamalate District, Makassar, South Sulawesi.
"Investigators, in this case, the Sector Police, found out about the incident after their neighbors suspected that the victim had not left the house for four days, then smelled a foul smell," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Makassar Police, Kompol Devi Sujana, as reported by ANTARA, Friday, October 25.
From this incident, an in-depth investigation was then carried out by examining a number of witnesses and processing the crime scene (TKP).
From the results of the investigation, clues were found to the victim's husband with the initials PA (22).
The victim was allegedly killed by strangulation by the perpetrator at the time of the incident, because at the crime scene the victim's body was still on the bed in the rented house until it was found by residents four days after the incident.
"From the explanation, it is known that the perpetrator is her own husband. Currently, the perpetrator has been arrested and detained by the Tamalate Police Criminal Investigation Unit," he said.

"The perpetrator's motive in this case is emotional. Because, before the incident there was an argument and an argument with the victim. The victim was on his stomach strangled from behind on the bed," said Kompol Devi.
Currently, the perpetrator has been named a suspect and is serving a period of detention at the Tamalate Police for further examination until the trial.
"The suspect is subject to article 44 of Law number 23 of 2004 concerning domestic violence with a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison," he said.
