Makassar Polrestabes Arrested A Gang Of Curanmor In Action In 24 Locations

Makassar Police revealed a case of motor vehicle theft (curanmor) networked groups and arrested three perpetrators who acted in dozens of different locations.

"There are three suspects. This is related to 24 crime scenes (crime scenes)," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Makassar Polrestabes Kompol Devi Sujana as reported by ANTARA, Friday, October 25.

The three suspects each had the initials SG, a student at one of the universities in Makassar with two crime scenes, and an HK with four crime scenes and for AN as many as 19 crime scenes spread across Makassar City, Gowa, Takalar and Pinrang Regencies.

"For this student, she was hunting around (the city). When she got a motorbike that happened to be the owner forgot to take it, she was pushed to take it, then she took it (take it away)," said Devi.

From SG's statement, the motorbike he stole was to pay for his lecture. The motorbike is sold to several regions or districts in the South Sulawesi Province.

Meanwhile, the other two perpetrators HK and AN launched their action by breaking the lock on the motorbike with a T key. The target is a motorbike parked in a quiet or quiet place and acting outside Makassar City.

"The three suspects are still in the same network group. The mode is to break the ignition key with the letter T key. There are also around looking for a parking lot, looking if there are keys left on the motorbike," he said.

In addition to these three suspects, the Criminal Investigation Team also revealed the theft of a Honda Brio car with the perpetrator with the initials IDP (28) years. The suspect stole the car in a repair shop.

"When the workshop manager was caught off guard, the key was stolen. The repair shop manager was unconscious. At night when the repair shop was closed, the car was taken. This is while we are developing the network," he said.

Kompol Devi also said that his party continues to deepen to dismantle the theft network that acts in Makassar City and its surroundings. There were 24 motorbikes recorded and one car unit has been confiscated by officers.

"The article we are imposing, article 363 of the Criminal Code, if for example many crime scenes we in conjunction with article 64 of the Criminal Code because their actions continue. For the threat of imprisonment a maximum of seven years in prison, and maybe with weight," he said.
