List 18 Players In FIBA Asia Cup 2025 Qualification

JAKARTA The Central Board of the Indonesian Basketball Association (PP Perbasi) summoned 18 players to face the 2025 FIBA Asia Cup Qualification continued matches.

Indonesia is scheduled to undergo two further qualifications from Group A in November 2024.

They will successively face the host South Korea on November 21, 2024 and host Thailand on November 24, 2024 in Jakarta.

"We hope that this preparation time will be maximized as well as possible so that we can get maximum results in the qualifying round later," said Acting Chairman of PP Perbasi, Ardima Rama Putra.

The names summoned include Derrick Michael Xzavierro who is now playing in the Australian Student League with Long Beach State and Abraham Damar Grahita from Prawira Harum Bandung.

In addition, there are Brandon Jawato, Anthony Jerome Beane, Vincent Kosasih, Widyanta Putra Teja, Yudha Saputera, and Julian Chalias.

"For players whose names are on the call list, they are expected to gather on October 27, 2024 at Berezza Apartment to undergo training on October 28, 2024 until the match is held," said Secretary General of PP Perbasi, Nirmala Dewi.

The players will be led by coach Johannis Winar. The coach will be assisted by three assistant coaches, namely Youbel Sondakh, Antonius Ferry Rinaldo, and Tondi Raja Syailendra.

The Indonesian Basketball national team had previously undergone two matches in February 2024 and lost all. At that time they fought Thailand and Australia.

These two defeats put Indonesia in fourth place in Group A standings with two points.

The top of the standings is Australia with four points, followed by South Korea in the runner-up position with three points, and Thailand in third place with three points as well.
