After Going Viral, Police Arrest Perpetrators Of Minor Harassment In Kemayoran

The Kemayoran Police have arrested the perpetrator of sexual harassment with the initials D (29) against minors that occurred in the Serdang area, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta.

Head of Public Relations of the Kemayoran Police, Bripka Ricky Sihite, said that this harassment case was revealed from public information and video surveillance camera (CCTV) footage uploaded on social media.

In the video, it appears that perpetrator D sexually harassed the victim. Police officers immediately followed up on the information that went viral on social media (medsos) and conducted an investigation

"After being declared sufficient and accurate, an arrest of the alleged perpetrator can be made at the house of Jalan Serdang Baru I, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta," he said.

When arrested, the police asked the perpetrator to hand over clothes in the form of t-shirts and trousers used at the time of the incident.

"The perpetrator and the victim were handed over to the Central Jakarta Metro Police," he said.

Meanwhile, the case is still under investigation at the Central Jakarta Metro Police PPA Unit.
