For 2025, HMID Confirms Six Cars Will Launch In Indonesia And Expand Hybrid Lines

JAKARTA - PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia (HMID) confirmed their plans for 2025 by launching at least six cars or almost the same as this year.

"For next year, we have made plans for new products at least 5-6 new cars," said PT HMID Chief Operating Officer Fransiscus Soerjopranoto when met by the media at Plaza Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, October 24.

The single agent holding the Hyundai brand (ATPM) in the country also hopes that the launch of a new model for next year can boost the volume of national sales.

"So every two months there are always new products and with new cars it is hoped that they can contribute to sales in Indonesia," added Frans.

In addition, the company also has plans to bring in more electrified vehicles, including increasing the number of hybrid models for the Indonesian market.

To expand the market, HMID has plans to present hybrid vehicles in the form of SUVs and MPVs, thus adding options for buyers given the high demand.

"The point is, SUVs and MPVs will be our concern to present them in a hybrid powertrain that is in line with Hyundai's global planning," explained Frans.

Recently, HMID inaugurated the launch of its first hybrid car in Indonesia by launching an all-new Santa Fe which has a tough and radical design and offers a wide space.

For the country's market, Hyundai offers Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) types by relying on 1.6T-GDI HEV engines, 235 ps powered, and 367 Nm torque. This combines a turbo system powered with known hybrid technology that is efficient in using fuel.

This option coincides with the presence of a pure ICE 2.5L GDI engine which has maximum performance and large torques.

Regarding prices, this brand sells it at prices ranging from IDR 699 million for the Prime ICE variant to the highest IDR 869 million for the Turbo Hybrid Calligraphy On The Road DKI Jakarta variant.
