Hand Over Aid, 12 Tourism Villages In 12 Provinces Get An Average Of IDR 120 Million From The Ministry Of Tourism And Creative Economy
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy/The Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Kemenparekraf/Baparekraf) handed over assistance for the Support of Tourism and Creative Economy Business Development (DPUP) for 12 tourist villages originating from 12 provinces in Indonesia as a form of government alignment in making tourism villages more qualified.
The handover of assistance marked by the signing of this cooperation agreement is a follow-up to the Indonesian Tourism Village Award (ADWI), which was initiated since 2023.
Director of Financing Access at the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Anggara Hayun Anujuprana, in his remarks at the Mercure Serpong Hotel Alam Sutera, Wednesday (23/10/2024), said that this DPUP will be an encouragement for tourism village managers to further develop the existing tourism attraction potential and increase tourism-based micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) involving the community.
"Through the DPUP program, we are trying to encourage the growth of the tourism sector and the creative economy at the village level, especially in the development of tourist attractions, craft businesses, culinary, and fashion," said Anggara.

Anggara explained that this program distributed aid to 50 tourist villages to be drained, of which 24 have signed a cooperation agreement.
Each tourist village receives an average assistance of IDR 120 million, which is equipped with a program to strengthen business management through financial and business literacy.
The 24 tourist villages that receive 2024 DPUP assistance are Cibeusi Tourism Village, Asaronic Tourism Village, Bantagung Tourism Village, Purwabakti Tourism Village, Taraju Tourism Village, Tanah Kuning Beach Tourism Village, Iboih Tourism Village, Ulee Lheue Village, Kampoeng Lama Tourism Village, Hariara Pohan Tourism Village, Bukit Lawang Plantation Tourism Village, and Hilisimaetano Tourism Village.
Then Bukit Batu Tourism Village, Dayun Tourism Village, Terong Creative Tourism Village, Baselang Bakung Jaya Village Tourism Village, Batu Ampar Tourism Village, Kelawi Tourism Village, Nagari Lawang Tourism Village, Nagari Sijunjung Traditional Village, Kubu Gadang Tourism Village, GTp Ulakan Tourism Village, Serangan Tourism Village, and Pela Tourism Village.
"We hope that this assistance can have a positive impact on the development of tourism businesses and the creative economy in tourist villages, as well as support the acceleration of Indonesia's economic growth," said Anggara.
On the same occasion, an educational session was held with the Financial Services Authority (OJK) which discussed Beware of Investment, Online Loans, and Online Gambling, as well as the Socialization of Financial Information Service Systems (SLIK).
In addition, there is a sharing session from Local Champion of the Nature Tourism Village, recipients of the DPUP in 2023, which shares successful experiences in the use of aid received.
