Reach 70 Percent, Hotel Occupancy In Mandalika Increases
JAKARTA - PT Pembangunan Pariwisata Indonesia or ITDC stated that overall the average hotel occupancy rate in Mandalika, Central Lombok Special Economic Zone (KEK), West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) during the third quarter of 2024 reached 70.73 percent.
"This reflects the attractiveness and potential growth of the region that continues to grow," said ITDC President Director Ari Respati in a written statement in Mataram, Thursday, October 24, 2024.
In addition, the occupancy rate in The Mandalika, Central Lombok, NTB during the third quarter of 2024 also showed positive results, driven by effective strategies in utilizing agenda momentum such as the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia 2024.
Then Idemitsu FIM Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC), Mandiri Mandalika Festival of Speed (MFoS) and Cinema on The Beach.

"This activity is a strong differentiator for the region, attracting domestic and international tourist visits," he said.
He said the main hotels in the region, such as Pullman, Raja, Montana, Novotel and JM, recorded varying occupancy rates. In fact, Montana and Novotel managed to achieve an occupancy of more than 90 percent in August 2024.
"This indicates the high interest of tourists visiting Mandalika," he said.
The growth of tourist visits in each area that we manage is the result of the implementation of ITDC's long-term strategy in creating integrated and high competitive tourism areas.
"We are committed to continuing to strengthen the existing tourism ecosystem by improving infrastructure, service quality, and diversifying tourism products, so that our region can continue to compete in the global market," he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of the NTB Tourism Office, Jamaludin Malady, said that the activities at the Mandalika Circuit were not only the Indonesian MotoGP event, but the Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC), Mandalika Racing Series (MRS) and car racing events were held.
"In the future, we hope that ITDC will continue to hold activities at the Mandalika Circuit which can invite tourists to come," he said.
He said the target for tourist visits in NTB in 2024 reached 2.5 million tourists and it has realized more than two million tourists who have come to NTB until September 2024.
"The target for tourist visits in 2023 has been achieved, namely two million tourists," he said.
