The Minister Of Manpower Invites Trade Unions To Maximize Prevent Disputes In Industrial Relations
JAKARTA - Minister of Manpower (Menaker) Yassierli invites trade unions to continue to support the creation of harmonious industrial relations in mutually beneficial partnerships between workers and employers.
This was conveyed by the Minister of Manpower Yassierli when holding a meeting with the leadership of the national level trade union and federation (SP/SB) in Jakarta, Wednesday, October 23.
"We must do our best to prevent industrial relations disputes. A mutually beneficial partnership between workers and employers must continue to be built," said the Minister of Manpower in a written statement, Thursday, October 24, quoted by Antara.
On this occasion, Yassierli emphasized the importance of the role of SP/SB in creating harmonious, dynamic, and fair industrial relations that are oriented towards increasing productivity and worker welfare. He said that communication is the main key to preventing disputes between workers and employers.
On this occasion, he ensured the Ministry of Manpower's commitment to continue listening to input from trade unions to create improvements in the labor sector.
"The Ministry of Manpower is open to constructive criticism and suggestions. Everything we have achieved is the result of joint work from the Ministry of Manpower, workers, employers, and all relevant stakeholders," he said.

On the same occasion, Deputy Minister of Manpower Immanuel Ebenezer Gerungan who was also present called for the importance of collaboration both internally at the Ministry of Manpower and with external parties.
"The Ministry of Manpower, with the support of all its staff, is determined to continue to collaborate both internally and externally in order to ensure the sustainable welfare of the workforce," said Immanuel.
At the meeting, as many as 87 participants were present representing 37 unions consisting of 19 trade union confederations, 16 trade union federations, and 2 online motorcycle taxi special unions.
