Prepare 400 Million US Dollars, Petrosea Targets 33.5 Percent Absorbed Capital Expenditure By The End Of 2024

JAKARTA - The mining contractor issuer owned by Prajogo Pangestu PT Petrosea Tbk. (PTRO) prepares a capital expenditure (capex) of 400 million US dollars for 2024-2025.

Petrosea's Finance Director, Rudi Santoso, said that until the fourth quarter of 2024, it is targeting spending to be absorbed by 134 million US dollars. If percentageed around 33.5 percent of the 2024-2025 capital expenditure.

"Currently, for its use in the fourth quarter of 2024, there will be several capexes that will come and be used for operations in the vicinity of the capex in the fourth quarter of 134 million US dollars," he said in an online public expose, Wednesday, October 23.

Rudi said this capex would be used to develop projects whose contracts were obtained in 2024. The total contract pocketed by PTRO in 2024 is worth more than US$1 billion.

"The total value of the new contracts currently obtained is around 1 billion US dollars in a coma and will continue to grow in 2025," continued Rudi.

Rudi also said that the capex was the largest absorbed by the PT Pasir Bara Prima (PBP) project and several projects in Central Kalimantan.

Previously, Petrosea signed a term sheet mining service agreement with PT Pasir Bara Prima which is a subsidiary of PT Singaraja Putra Tbk (SINI) with an agreement value of 511.45 million US dollars.

"Currently the largest in the PBP project as well as for several Central Kalimantan projects. There will be several new projects obtained in 2025," he said.
