Returning To Positions In The Indonesian National Team, Ramadhan Sananta Focuses On Proveing Sharpness In The Club

JAKARTA - Persis Solo striker, Ramadhan Sananta, is again aiming for the main place in the Indonesian national team ahead of the follow-up agenda in the Third Round of the 2026 World Cup Qualification. In order to achieve this target, Sananta admitted that she would focus on proving sharpness at the club level.

"Yes, maybe I want to focus first on the club appearing in League 1. If League 1 is good, coach Shin Tae-yong can call me back to give me the opportunity to play in the Indonesian national team."

"So, I can give the best for the Indonesian national team," said Ramadhan Sananta in a statement quoted Wednesday, October 23, 2024.

Previously, it was known that Sananta was not on the list of players called Shin Tae-yong in the 2026 World Cup Qualification Third Round this month against Bahrain and China.

In fact, in September 2024, he won the trust of the South Korean coach.

So far, Ramadhan Sananta has played 10 matches for the senior level of the Indonesian national team. During his contribution, Sananta has also contributed five goals.

With that note, it is not impossible that Sananta will again be an option to enter the Garuda Squad. Moreover, the Indonesian national team will continue the struggle at the Third Quarter of the 2026 Asian Zone World Cup Qualification in November 2024.

In that period, the Garuda Squad will face Japan and Saudi Arabia on November 15 and November 19, 2024, all of which will be held at the Gelora Bung Karno (SUGBK) Main Stadium.
