Because Of A Brake Car Suddenly, A Truck Loaded With Coal Collision With An Electric Pole Until It Collapsed

HULU SUNGAI - A truck loaded with coal with police number DA 8688 BE hit an electric pole and collapsed on a national road on Jalan Ahmad Yani, East Hambaling Beach, Hulu Sungai Tengah (HST) Regency, South Kalimantan (Kalsel) this morning at around 10.30 WITA.

The truck loaded with coal passed from the direction of Tanjung (Tabalong Regency) to Rantau ( Tapin Regency), and it was seen that the coal load was scattered on the left side of the truck which was still docked on the side of the national road.

"I avoided a private car that suddenly braked right in front of my vehicle. While I braked at the same time swerved to the left and coincided with hitting an electric pole on the side of the road," said the driver of a coal transport truck, with the initials R (16) quoted from Antara, Wednesday, October 23.

Based on the Regional Regulation (Perda) of South Kalimantan Number 3 of 2012 concerning Amendments to Regional Regulation Number 3 of 2008 concerning Regulations for the Use of Public Roads and Special Roads for Mining Result Transportation and Plantation Companies, prohibits the transportation of mining products and the results of large plantations crossing roads or public roads, including national roads.

Driver R admitted that it was difficult to control the vehicle because the truck was quite heavy, especially the car in front of him stopped suddenly, and after that the private car fled without seeing the condition of the truck driver.

"The truck assistance has been dispatched to transfer the cargo so that the truck that crashed can be evacuated," he said.

R said that he had been in this profession for a long time with a salary of around Rp. 1.5 million per time delivering cargo from Tabalong to Tapin.

Meanwhile, two personnel from the HST Police traffic unit arrived at the location at around 11.00 WITA, seen several minutes making road arrangements and communicating with truck drivers, not long after leaving the location.

One resident, MA, said that the incident was quite surprising to local residents because suddenly a loud crash was heard right on the side of the road and had shocked local residents, even the fence of the residents' houses was also damaged in the accident.

Although in South Kalimantan Regulation Number 3 of 2012 concerning Amendments to Regional Regulation Number 3 of 2008 concerning Regulations for the Use of Public Roads and Special Roads for Mining Result Transportation and Plantation Companies, strictly prohibits the activities of vehicles loaded with coal on public roads, coal-laden trucks still frequently pass through South Kalimantan HST.
