Escort Human Rights Issues, Willy Aditya Leads Commission XIII DPR

JAKARTA - The Indonesian House of Representatives has determined the composition of the leadership of Commission XIII of the DPR today, Wednesday, October 23.

In a decision meeting chaired by the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Adies Kadir, NasDem faction member Willya Aditya was appointed as chairman of the commission, one of which was in charge of human rights issues.

"In accordance with the consultation meeting to replace Bamus on October 21, it was agreed that the composition of the factions, the leadership of AKD, had been decided to consult consensus. So the composition of the leadership of Commission XIII of the DPR was the chairman of the NasDem Faction, four representatives came from the PDIP faction, Golkar faction, Gerindra faction and Democratic faction," said Adies while chairing a meeting in the DPR's Banggar room, Wednesday, October 23.

As the chairman of Commission XIII of the DPR, Willy will be accompanied by four deputy chairmen, namely Andreas Hugo Pareira (PDIP faction), Dewi Asmara (Golkar faction), Sugiat Santoso (Gerindra faction), and Rinto Subekti (Democratic Faction).

"Ladies and gentlemen, can the names of the candidates for the leadership of Commission XIII of the DPR RI which we convey can be approved and determined to be the leaders of Commission XIII of the DPR RI," Adies asked in response to the approval of all members.

The House of Representatives Commission XIII will take care of Regulatory Reform and Human Rights. Partnering with the Ministry of Law, Ministry of Human Rights, Ministry of State Secretariat, Ministry of Immigration and Corrections, Komnas HAM, LPSK, BNPT, BPIP, Secretary General of DPD RI, Secretariat General of the MPR RI, Office of the Presidential Staff.

Commission XIII is an additional commission after the amendment of the ministerial nomenclature in the government of President Prabowo Subianto. The meeting room of Commission XIII occupied the former Banggar DPR RI room at the Nusantara II Building Parliament Complex.
