TARAKAN The Provincial Government of North Kalimantan (Kaltara) has successfully carried out a Trial of the Free Nutrition Food Program (MBG) at the State Elementary School (SDN) 045, East Tarakan District, Binalatung, Amal Beach.
Acting Governor of North Kalimantan (Kaltara) Togap Simangunsong during the visit, was proud of the welcome from the 045 State Elementary School students. The excitement occurred when Togap interacted with the students.
"I see the child's response is extraordinary, seeing from the way he talks and his body language is happy to get this Perfect 4 Healthy 5 Free Nutrition Food," said Togap, Tuesday, October 22.
The perfect 5 healthy 4 menu consists of carbon hydrates consisting of rice, sweet potatoes and cassava, various kinds of vegetables and fruit, then protein from fish, chicken and beef, and refined milk.
The goal is to have their respective functions such as strengthening bones, smoothing the skin from vitamin C, maintaining endurance, for brain growth and height.
He conducted several evaluations, one of which suggested that the distribution of nutritious food could be more efficient and practical, namely creating a place or table at the door, so that during rest hours students can take their respective places.
"In the classroom there are 30 students, place 1 table in front of the classroom so that the students can take it at rest, it is more practical than being served one by one," he said.
The distribution of free nutritious food will be carried out for 5 days in 1 week. This program is not specifically for elementary school children but also for pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, babies, toddlers, pre-school, kindergarten, elementary, junior high and high school.
Togap explained that this trial used a national standard of IDR 15,000 per person. Based on trials in Malinau, the cost of IDR 15,000 cannot enter, due to problems with places and transportation limitations.
Meanwhile, in Tarakan City, it becomes cheaper, and this is an evaluation material together with all the teams involved.
