Appointed By Prabowo As Deputy Minister Of Industry, Faisol Riza: Part Of A Big Job That Is Not Easy
JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto officially inaugurated Faisol Riza as Deputy Minister of Industry (Wamenperin) in the Red and White Cabinet for the period 2024-2029. Later, Faisol will accompany the Minister of Industry (Menperin) Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita to carry out the mandate for the next five years.
Faisol is committed to helping Minister of Industry Agus to boost the progress of the manufacturing industry over the next five years.
"Thank you for accepting me to be part of a big job that I don't think is easy. Earlier, the Minister (Agus Gumiwang) had explained how Mr. President (Prabowo Subianto) had a big concern in the manufacturing sector and the minister's job was very large. So, I was assigned to help his success for the Prabowo administration period," said Faisol in the agenda with the Minister of Industry & Deputy Minister of Industry at the Ministry of Industry office, Tuesday, October 22.
He even made an analogy that the manufacturing industry is like the human heart, which has many roles in the body.
"Indeed, the manufacturing industry, such as the heart, must drain blood everywhere, must provide oxygen throughout the body. So, like it or not, it must be strengthened, given injections, various kinds of vitamins and supplements, so that it remains strong and developed," he said.
According to Faisol, the progress of the manufacturing industry in the future will not only be the task of the Ministry of Industry, but there must also be cooperation from all business actors.
"We pray that the minister will always be healthy and strong because this economy is really not easy and everything depends on cooperation. Especially business actors. I know that at these difficult times, everything is used, reason, and all kinds of things. All legs must be strong, I think great work," he said.
"But I am sure because we have a leader like him, Pak Prabowo, has a leader like Pak AGK (Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita) who had evidence 5 years ago, the manufacturing sector also remains a mainstay," he concluded.
The man who was born in Probolinggo, January 1, 1973 is known as an active figure in the world of Indonesian politics.
He started his basic education at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Nahdlatul Ulama then continued to MTs Nurul Jadid and MA Nurul Jadid.
After completing secondary education, Faisol continued his studies at the Driyarkara Jakarta Philosophy College with a focus on Philosophy Science. While studying, Faisol is also an activist, he is actively involved in various organizations, including being chairman of the Indonesian Student Solidarity for Democracy (SMID) in the 1998-1999 period and also PRD (Democratic People's Party).

Then, Faisol began joining the National Awakening Party (PKB) in 2008 and served as Deputy Chair of the PKB DPW for 2008-2009. Since 2009, he has served as deputy secretary general of the DKI Jakarta PKB DPW.
Prior to becoming a member of the DPR, he was appointed as a special staff at the Ministry of Manpower and Transmigration, serving from 2009 to 2014. After that, he continued as a special staff at the Ministry of Youth and Sports from 2014 to 2017.
It is known, Faisol Riza is also the Chairman of Commission VI of the DPR RI. Commission VI of the DPR RI has a scope of work in the fields of industry, trade, SME cooperatives, BUMN, investment and national standardization. Faisol Riza represents the constituency for the East Java II election, namely Probolinggo Regency and City of Pasuruan.
