Budiman Commitment To Continue BLT: Added Cards For The Elderly Too
Head of the Agency for the Acceleration of Poverty Reduction, Budiman Sudjatmiko, confirmed that he would enrich the new programs for empowering the poor without eliminating existing ones such as Direct Cash Assistance (BLT).
"God willing, there is still (BLT), it is a promise from the campaign Pak Prabowo and Mas Gibran will continue, even added cards for the elderly as well. What is assigned to us is to synchronize, accelerate, accelerate, and accelerate. Budiman, who has just been inaugurated in his new position, President Prabowo Subianto also said that later the agency he leads will coordinate communication with many ministries and institutions in terms of implementing the master plan for poverty alleviation.
One of the focuses that will be carried out from harmonization between ministries is to collect objective data regarding poverty conditions in Indonesia.

He hopes that with the data synchronized between institutions and other ministries, the data and policies to be taken can be more effective as needed by the community.
"The data treatment so that it becomes a guideline, so that we get valid and objective and dynamic data because the handling of poverty is not as simple as sharing cash assistance, but also completing it," said Budiman.
Previously, Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto officially inaugurated Budiman Sudjatmiko based on Presidential Decree No. 145/P of 2024 concerning the Appointment of Heads and Deputy Heads of the Agency for the Acceleration of Poverty Reduction.
Budiman was accompanied by Nanik Sudaryati Deyang and Iwan Sumule as Deputy Heads of the Poverty Reduction Acceleration Agency.
