Prabowo Not Alluding To IKN, Deputy Minister Ensures Jokowi's Mega Project Continuation

Deputy Minister of Public Works (Wamen PU) Diana Kusumastuti ensured that President Prabowo Subianto would continue the construction of the capital city of the archipelago (IKN). This was said by Diana after being inaugurated along with dozens of other deputy ministers.

"Of course (IKN) we will continue. Yes, we will continue," Diana told reporters at the State Palace, Central Jakarta, Monday, October 21.

Prabowo, according to Diana, will definitely complete the construction of IKN, so that the transfer of the government center from Jakarta can be realized. Although, Diana did not disclose the strategic development at IKN in the next 100 days.

"We will continue what has been done. We will finish everything. What will only be discussed recently to the IKN Authority," he said.

Then, will Prabowo return to visit IKN to inaugurate the groundbreaking or groundbreaking as did the 7th President Joko Widodo? Diana said she didn't know.

"I also don't know. We'll see," he added.

Prabowo in his speech after taking the oath as president, did not mention the Capital City of the Archipelago (IKN) in his speech after the inauguration at the MPR plenary session.

In his speech, Prabowo emphasized many things, ranging from challenges from the nation from within and outside the country, budget leaks, poverty, economic strengthening, eradicating corruption, to supporting Palestine.

However, there was not a single sentence regarding the transfer of the capital city that Prabowo mentioned. Currently, the president's decision regarding the relocation of the capital city has not yet been issued.

The target for the transfer of government centers from Jakarta to the archipelago has also been extended in the transition from Joko Widodo's administration to Prabowo.
