SAM Air Plane Crashes In Pohuwato Kills 4 People, KNKT Intervenes
The National Transportation Safety Committee (KNKT) arrived in Gorontalo to investigate the cause of the SAM Air plane crash that crashed near Panua Airport, Pohuwato Regency, Gorontalo Province.
Head of Djalaluddin Airport Gorontalo Joko Harjani, said three KNKT people had arrived at Djalaluddin Airport and headed to Pohuwato Regency.
"KNKT is escorted by the Gorontalo Police to Pohuwato Regency," said Joko, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, October 21.
He said it was the authority of the NTSC to investigate the plane crash that occurred in Pohuwato last Sunday.
Previously, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation coordinated the National Transportation Safety Committee (NTSC) and relevant policy makers to conduct further investigations into the SAM Air plane crash incident in the Marisa area, Pohuwato Regency.
Acting Director General of Civil Aviation Lukman F. Laisa through an official release said that a pioneer plane belonging to PT. SAM Air with registration number PK-SMH (DHC6) had an accident at Panua Airport, Pohuwato.
"I hope the investigation process runs smoothly, and future preventive measures can be taken to improve flight safety in the future." said Lukman.
