BGS Confirmed Present In Announcement Of Cabinet Minister Prabowo
JAKARTA - Minister of Health for the 2020-2024 period, Budi Gunadi Sadikin (BGS), has been confirmed to be present at the announcement of the composition of cabinet ministers of the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka government which will take place on Sunday night, October 20.
This information was conveyed by the Executive Assistant of the Minister of Health, Helena Lisa Rosalin, when contacted by Antara in Jakarta.
Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, previously stated that the exact time for the announcement of the composition of the cabinet was not yet known. However, he ensured that if announced tonight, the inauguration of the ministers would be held Monday morning, and the inauguration of the deputy minister would be held on Monday afternoon.
Previously, Prabowo had held meetings with more than 100 ministerial candidates, deputy ministers, and heads of agencies at his residence in Jakarta and Hambalang. During the meeting, Prabowo briefed them on the roles and duties in the upcoming cabinet.
Budi Gunadi Sadikin himself had said that he was again appointed by President Prabowo to become Minister of Health.
At an event in Jakarta, he stated that his main task later is to improve health services, especially for health workers, and make Indonesia the main destination for people seeking health services.
"I was about to say goodbye, but it turns out that God wants it again. So enjoy enjoying the next five years with me," he said during the topping off of the Jakarta RSPON.
