Prabowo: Thanks To Megawati, Economic Problems Due To Crisis 98 Can Be Rescued
JAKARTA - After being inaugurated as the 8th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto thanked the previous presidents.
In his gratitude to the 5th Indonesian President Megawati Soekarnoputri, Prabowo remembers Megawati managed to save the economic crisis after the 1998 Reformation.
"We are grateful to Megawati for solving the economic problem due to the 98 crash. Prabowo also thanked the previous President, Soekarno, who fought for Indonesia's independence, President Suharto, who was considered to have saved the Pancasila ideology and laid the groundwork for modern Indonesia.
Prabowo also thanked President Habibie for advancing the basic knowledge and technology, as well as Gus Dur, who upholds Indonesia's tolerance and inclusiveness.
"We must also thank SBY, who led Indonesia during a very tough crisis facing the tsunami, to resolve it with vice president Jusuf Kalla. Solving the dispute in Aceh that has been going on for so long, this is an achievement that we must admit," explained Prabowo.
Finally, Prabowo thanked Jokowi. Prabowo reminisced about the times of the COVID-19 pandemic when he became Minister of Defense in Jokowi's cabinet.

According to Prabowo, Jokowi was able to bring the leadership captain to survive the pandemic without implementing a lockdown or regional quarantine in Indonesia.
