Ampera Bridge Adds To Being Beautiful At Night, City Government Installs Songket Motive Lights
JAKARTA - The City Government (Pemkot) of Palembang, South Sumatra (Sumsel) installed lights decorated with songket motifs typical of Palembang City on Ampera Bridge. The lights were installed to beautify the median bridge.
"To beautify Ampera Bridge to attract more tourists who come, especially welcoming the world jazz festival on November 30, 2024," said Acting (Pj) Mayor of Palembang Ucok Abdulrauf Darmenta confirmed in Palembang, Saturday, October 19.
He added that Ampera Bridge is currently being carried out with a touch of beauty, even the process of building the Ampera Tower so that it is ready to open on New Year's Eve continues.
Making Palembang City ready for Musi 2024 Gold to be realized, his party also spurred the construction of three heritages in the Kuto Besak Fort area of Palembang.
The Palembang City Government invites residents to be disciplined in maintaining environmental cleanliness to realize three heritages as beautiful tourist areas.
"There are currently three heritages in Palembang that are already running and are in the process of beautifying the aesthetics. Therefore, we ask residents to be disciplined in maintaining environmental cleanliness and disposing of garbage in its place," said Abdulrauf Darmenta.
According to him, it takes the role of citizens to support the government's program by not littering. Then his party is currently in the process of procuring additional fleets to clean up the environment in Palembang City.

Currently, his party is also in the process of making dance lights to beautify the Ampera Bridge, which is typical of the city of Palembang. In addition, the river flow is also being handled for its flow to the Musi Palembang River.
He said the Palembang City Government would develop this heritage tourism concept and would involve art and cultural actors, as well as history.
"Yes, hopefully next year it will be clear to be able to advance Palembang tourist destinations, of course the Palembang City Government will involve related parties to realize Musi 2045 Gold," he said.
