BAKTI Kominfo Task Force Completes 4G BTS Development And Restores HBS Project Funds
JAKARTA - Along with the end of his term of office, the BAKTI Kominfo Task Force (Satgas) submitted a final report on the implementation to the Minister of Communication and Information Budi Arie Setiadi.
In this report, the head of the BAKTI Task Force Sarwoto Atmosutarno said they had succeeded in providing recommendations for problem solving, especially regarding the construction of the 4G base transceiver station (BTS) infrastructure and the Satellite Hot Backup (HBS).
"We have completed our duties with the plenary session, especially regarding two major issues at BAKTI Kominfo, namely BTS 4G and HBS," Sarwoto told the Minister of Communication and Information on Friday, October 18.
In the BTS 4G program, Sarwoto stated that the Task Force had overseen the completion of a total project of 5,618 4G BTS worth a capex of IDR 12,045 trillion and an opex of IDR 144.878 billion per month.
As of October 18, 2024, from the construction target of 5,618 BTS 4G locations (a total of 628 BTS, which are in a state of continuing to be resolved) BAKTI has successfully completed 5,321 on-air locations. Meanwhile, 297 other locations are still in the development stage due to problems with security spheres in the Papua region.

As for the HBS program, in accordance with the considerations and proposals from BAKTI management, the Task Force recommends terminating the HBS contract with a 100 percent return and a cost of money value of IDR 3.5 trillion.
Budi expressed his appreciation to the BAKTI Kominfo Task Force which has completed its tasks successfully, and has proven to produce success and benefits for the community.
"I hope that this task force format can be used as a model or reference for learning for debottlenecks and completion of projects in government and institutions that require cross-institutional coordination in order to minimize risks as well as get solutions that prioritize good governance," Budi hoped.
