Indian Police Arrest Bocil The Plane's Fake Bombing Threatener

JAKARTA - Mumbai Police, India, arrested a minor aka a small boy (bocil) who threatened a fake bomb on a three-flight plane.

India's airlines this month received a series of threats to domestic and international flights on their social media, all of which were fake.

"We strongly condemn the recent bomb threat against Indian airlines. We are closely monitoring the situation and ensuring that any necessary action is taken to counter the measure," said Transport Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu.

He said the perpetrators arrested were minors, which means they were under 18 years old. But the authorities did not name the perpetrators.

Local media reported the threat of a bomb made from an account on X. The threat of a fake bomb targeted two IndiGo flights one to Muscat and another to Jeddah, and one Air India flight to New York armed the militants with explosives.

At least eight of IndiGo's leading airline flights were targeted by threats.

Tiga Spicejet (SPJT.BO), dua Vistara dan empat Air India juga menerima pesan serupa lewat sosial media pekan ini.
