Ministry Of Religion Susun Guidelines Will Certify Hajj-Umrah Manasik Guidelines

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) is preparing guidelines for certifying Hajj guides as an effort to present competent guides and strengthen services for the elderly (elderly).

"Guidelines are prepared in order to perfect the certification process for Hajj and Umrah managers," said Director of Hajj Development at the Ministry of Religion Arsad Hidayat in Jakarta, Thursday, October 17, quoted by Antara.

Arsad said that the development of pilgrims is the main responsibility of the government in organizing the pilgrimage in Indonesia. Manasisik Hajj guidance plays a very important role to ensure that pilgrims can carry out worship in accordance with sharia provisions.

According to him, the implementation of the Hajj and Umrah rituals supervisor certification so far refers to the Decree of the Director General of Hajj and Umrah Number D/223 of 2015 concerning Guidelines for Certification of Hajj Manasik Guidelines.

This guideline needs to be perfected by following the latest developments in the dynamics of organizing the pilgrimage and Umrah.

"The plan is that the director-general's decision will be increased to a Regulation or Decree of the Minister of Religion," said Arsad.

The Ministry of Religion, he said, is committed to ensuring that every Hajj and Umrah guide that has been certified has sufficient quality and competence.

The requirements for participants who will take part in the certification will also be improved and improved. Currently, the Ministry of Religion is conducting harmonization with several other regulations related to the implementation of the pilgrimage and Umrah.

"We are trying to see some requirements in certification that need adjustment and harmonization with several other regulations," said Arsad.

The curriculum currently used needs to accommodate the latest developments in organizing Hajj such as moderate rituals and paying special attention to vulnerable groups, both the elderly and the disabled.

"The certification curriculum needs to accommodate the latest developments, especially the Hajj rituals which provide solutions for the pilgrimage for the elderly and disabled pilgrims," said Arsad.
