Indian Tourists Dragged By Currents On Billabong Beach Found Dead Floating In The Waters Of Sumuh

A tourist from India named Nilesh Mukhi (59) who was swept away by the current on Billabong Beach, Nusa Penida, Klungkung Regency, Bali, was found dead floating.

The victim's body was floating in the waters of Samuh, Benoa, South Kuta District, Badung Regency, Bali, at around 12.10 WITA.

SAR Alert Unit Coordinator Nusa Penida Cakra Negara said the joint SAR Team carried out a search around the scene using a Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB).

The conditions in the waters of Billabong are quite extreme, so the joint SAR team has difficulty sweeping approaching the cliffs.

"However, at 12.10 WITA, we received information from the Denpasar SAR Office that the body had been found floating in the waters of Samuh, Nusa Dua," said Cakra, Thursday, October 17.

The passing Speedboat found a body with the characteristics of resembling an Indian citizen victim.

After being confirmed with the victim's child, it is certain that the discovery was true by his father.

"Arriving on land, the victim was taken to Prof. Ngoerah Hospital, Denpasar," he said.
