Police Arrest 2 Child Pornographic Content Makers, Victims Ordered Live On Social Media
The Cirebon City Resort Police (Polres) uncovered the illegal practice of making child pornography content with two suspects with the initials BM and MF.
The content was carried out by ordering the victims to live on one of the social media.
"We managed to apprehend these two suspects who were the masterminds or main perpetrators of making child pornography content," said Head of the Cirebon City Police Satreskrim AKP Anggi Eko Prasetyo in Cirebon, West Java (West Java), Thursday, October 17, confiscated by Antara.
He explained that the two suspects were arrested after his party followed up on public reports regarding content production activities containing immoral acts at one of the boarding houses in Kesenden Village, Cirebon City since June 2024.
From the results of the examination, he said, the suspects had carried out the illegal practice for seven months by forcing the victims to create adult content that was broadcast live.
"The victims were promised Rp5 million, if they succeeded in meeting the target. The target in question is giving gifts (from spectators) during live streaming," he said.
Anggi said that from the activities that exploited the victims, the suspects made a profit ranging from Rp. 100 million to Rp. 150 million.
According to him, there were nine victims who were employed by the suspect with two victims being minors.
The victims, continued Anggi, were initially interested in applying for jobs in the fashion or clothing sector that the suspect installed on social media.
"But after they applied, apparently the job vacancies were full. Then the two suspects persuaded the victims to help them create the content on payment," he said.
He said the two suspects had the same role, namely as recruiters and agents to find models in the immoral content.
Anggi emphasized that the practices carried out by the suspects had violated the law related to criminal acts of trafficking in persons (TPPO), child protection, and pornography.
Currently, the Cirebon City Police are processing the law for the two suspects to immediately undergo trial and be sentenced in accordance with the laws that have been violated.
Each of these laws carries a penalty from 12 to 17 years in prison. We are currently investigating this case to dismantle a larger syndicate," he said.
