BI Says Business Activities in Q3-2024 Remain Well Maintained

JAKARTA - Bank Indonesia (BI) revealed that based on the results of the Business Activity Survey (SKDU), it indicated that business activity performance remained stable in the third quarter of 2024.

BI Communication Department Executive Director Ramdan Denny Prakoso conveyed that the results of the Business Activity Survey (SKDU) in the third quarter of 2024 remained stable.

This is reflected in the Weighted Net Balance (WNB) value of 14.40 percent.

"The performance of all Business Fields (LU) is indicated to grow positively with increases mainly originating from the Mining and Excavation LU, Construction LU, and Information and Communication LU in line with the continuation of building project activities and maintained demand," he explained in his statement, Thursday, October 17.

Ramdan conveyed that the utilized production capacity in the third quarter of 2024 remained stable at 73.13 percent.

This is mainly supported by several LUs that are indicated to increase, namely the Mining and Excavation LU and the Electricity Procurement LU in line with the increase in their business activities.

Meanwhile, the financial condition of the business world in general also remains in good condition, especially in the aspects of Liquidity and Profitability, with easier credit access.

In addition, Ramdan said respondents predicted that business activities in the fourth quarter of 2024 would continue to grow positively with an SBT of 13.42 percent.

Meanwhile, business activities in most LUs are predicted to continue to grow, including the Transportation and Warehousing LU and the Accommodation and Food and Beverage Provision LU in line with increased activities during the National Religious Holidays (HBKN) Christmas and New Year.
