JAKARTA - The Class II Immigration Office of Non TPI Baubau Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) of Southeast Sulawesi (Sultra) deported one Spanish Foreign Citizen (WNA) who exceeded the residence permit or overstay.

Head of the Regional Office (Kanwil) of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of Southeast Sulawesi Silvester Silli Laba said the foreigner with the initials AG was found in Raha District, Muna Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province.

"The investigation was based on information on social media which stated that there was a foreigner who exceeded the residence permit, which was then followed up by Baubau Immigration colleagues," said Silvester when met in Kendari, Thursday, October 17, which was confiscated by Antara.

He said the entry of AG to Indonesia through Soekarno Hatta International Airport on February 19, 2024.

Before being arrested in Muna Regency, the AG was arrested for the same case in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), in September 2024.

"Development and examination are carried out, and because there is a guarantor, the person concerned (AG) after that is given a STP because the promise of the person concerned will pay a fine," he said.

However, AG used this process to escape from Kupang and ended up in Muna Regency.

Silvester revealed that when investigated, the AG was with a woman with the initials WA and planned to marry her.

He conveyed that according to Law Number 6 of 2011 Article 78 paragraph 3, immigration measures will be given in the form of deportation and deterrence administration measures.

"The plan is that the AG will be deported tomorrow, on October 18, 2024," explained Silvester.
