State Guests Inauguration Of Prabowo Entering The Republic Of Indonesia Directly Escorted By Fighter Jets 4 F-16 TNI AU
The Indonesian Air Force (AU) deployed four F-16s from the 16 Air Wing Air Squadron 6 Roesmin Nurjadin Air Base to escort the arrival of state guest planes coming from various countries to Indonesia to attend the inauguration of the president-vice president.
The Commander of the National Air Operations Command (Pangkoopsudnas) of the Indonesian Air Force Marshal Madya (Marsdya) Tedi Rizalihadi explained that the four Indonesian Air Force F-16 fighter aircraft will escort state guest planes when they enter Indonesian airspace until they land at Soekarno Hatta International Airport in Tangerang, Banten, as well as at Halim Perdanakusuma International Airport, Jakarta.
"So, the permanent procedure is if there is a VVIP aircraft carrying the head of a friendly country, we must carry out an estimate," said Marsdya Tedi during a press conference at the South Terminal of Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base (Lanud), Jakarta, Thursday, October 17, which was confiscated by Antara.
He said the escort was also referred to as a CAP (cobat water patrol), namely the combat pilot situation in a state of alert to prevent and anticipate all forms of threats that the aircraft they are guarding may face.
Therefore, the four F-16s that will carry out the CAP are equipped with complete weapons, ranging from water-to-water missiles to other firearms (guns).
"This is our procedure (permanent procedure) to convince the invited guests who attend, the heads of friendly countries, we will secure (flight) them until they land," said Pangkoopsudnas.
