Bogor City Ijazah Repayment Program Highlighted By Council Members
BOGOR - Commission IV of the Bogor City DPRD held an inaugural working meeting with the Bogor City Education Office (Disdik) and the Welfare Section of the Bogor City Secretariat to discuss the diploma payment program.
Chairman of Commission IV of the Bogor City DPRD, Ence Setiawan conveyed the purpose and purpose of holding a meeting to monitor the implementation of the diploma payment program.
"From the reports submitted by Disdik and Kesra, there are still many problems in the implementation of this program," said Ence.
Ence explained that the problem occurred because the school still had not registered the recipients of the diploma payment program because the amount of assistance did not match the existing arrears.
For the equivalent high school level, only 58 students from 6 schools have inputted data from a total of 136 schools. Then for the distribution of aid, it only reached 35 percent.
Meanwhile, the level of junior high school equivalent for data input has only been carried out by two school units. The disbursement process from the data submitted by the Disdik realization has reached 82 percent.
"So it is necessary to evaluate the distribution and program," explained Ence.
Secretary of Commission IV of the Bogor City DPRD, Juhanna, conveyed to the Disdik and Kabag Kesra that the diploma payment program was a legacy from the DPRD for the previous period which had to be maintained and improved in quality, because it provided many benefits for the people of Bogor City.
Juhanna also stated that educational units (schools) were prohibited from detaining diplomas. This has been stated in Article 9 paragraph (2) of the Regulation of the Secretary General of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Research and Technology Number 1 of 2022.
"So indeed we have to pick up the ball to make sure this program runs optimally to ensure the existing rules are not violated," said Juhanna.
Regarding the lack of interest in schools in registering students who are involved in cost problems, Juhanna revealed that Ijazah is a state document, a valid recognition of learning achievements and graduation from formal or non-formal education.
