NBA App Offers Multiview And AI Features Ahead Of 2024-2025 Season

JAKARTA - The official NBA application, dubbed the official home of basketball, has been upgraded to support the multiview feature ahead of the 2024-2025 season which kicks off on October 22.

The new features presented include the ability to watch up to four matches simultaneously through the NBA League Pass, a league live broadcast subscription service. In addition, the app also offers a variety of AI-powered features.

Among the features supported by AI are "smart Rewind" capabilities and several selections of match summarys. Fans can make smart rebounds to any moment in the game, with the spotlight on key games, download full matches to watch offline, and access various summary versions of matches such as "All Ownership," concluded 10 Minutes, and "Key Highlight."

The app will also provide synchronized interactive statistics and analytics, ensuring fans feel the experience as if they are watching live, no matter when they watch it.

Another innovative feature is "NBA Insights," an AI-powered tool that takes advantage of Microsoft Azure's power. This feature uses AI which has an in-depth understanding of basketball to identify key narratives, player performance, and important achievements, providing fans of text-based renewal streams that further explain what's happening on the pitch, exceeding just statistics.

The league also uses Generative AI to localize content, offer match summarys in French, Portuguese, and Spanish, as well as translations for some original programs and live broadcasts.

Several existing features have also been improved. The popular features in the NBA App have been updated to improve personalization, including the new 'Following' tab, which combines the latest content from your team and favorite players into algorithmic feeds.

In addition, the updated "Game Stories" now includes pre-match analysis, highlight, and interactive polling. The "Moments" feature, which is a vertical social media force feed, has been upgraded to support multiple languages and is now accessible on Roku TV for faster content consumption on larger screens.

NBA apps can be downloaded for free from the App Store, while League Pass starts at 16.99 US dollars (Rp264 thousand) per month or 109.99 US dollars (Rp1.7 million) per season.
