Lebanese PM: Israel Deliberately Makes The Meeting Of The Nabatieh City Council Targeted By Attacks

JAKARTA - Israel's attack on the southern city of Nabatieh hit a city council meeting focused on emergency aid in the area.

This was conveyed by the office of the interim prime minister of Lebanon, Najib Mikati, on X quoted by CNN, Wednesday, October 16. The meeting was deliberately targeted by Israelis.

The death toll from Israeli airstrikes on the municipality building in the southern Lebanese city of Nabatieh has risen to six. The attack also resulted in 43 people being injured. Ahmad Kahil, Mayor of Nabatieh, was also killed in the attack.

Israel's Defense Forces (IDF) said it attacked dozens of Hezbollah targets in Nabatieh, southern Lebanon, to dismantle what they claimed was the underground infrastructure used by Hezbollah militants.
