Israeli Attack Death Toll In South Lebanon's Nabatieh Becomes 6 People, 43 Others Injured

JAKARTA - The death toll from Israeli airstrikes on the municipality building in the southern Lebanese city of Nabatieh has risen to six. The attack also resulted in 43 people being injured.

Rescue workers continue to clean up debris from the attack, the Lebanese Ministry of Health said Wednesday, October 16.

Walid Al-Hashash, Director of the Operations Unit of the Lebanese Civil Defense Forces, said a civil defense worker was among those killed in the attack.

"The attack hit the municipality building and the government administration building," Al-Hashash told CNN.

Meanwhile, Director of emergency medical services at the Lebanese Red Cross Alexy Nehma, said rescue teams had difficulty reaching people in need for repeated attacks and had to withdraw their teams from the area.

Ahmad Kahil, Mayor of Nabatieh, was also killed in the attack, the Lebanese National News Agency (NNA) reported.
