Exception Rejected, Divorce Edward Akbar And Kimberly Continue To The Basic Case

JAKARTA - The divorce trial between Edward Akbar and Kimberly Border was held again. In this agenda, Kimberly's party was accompanied by his younger brother and mother.

After the trial, Kimberly said that the exception submission that was requested by Edward Akbar was rejected by the panel of judges.

So that their divorce trial will continue at the Central Jakarta Religious Court and be included in the subject matter of the case.

"Today, thank God, Edward's exception was rejected, so we went straight to the point of the case, go directly to the evidence and witnesses as well," said KimberlyRIDer at the Central Jakarta Religious Court, Wednesday, October 16.

"Everything has been revealed from my side, all the witnesses have said in the future, have said everything, all the evidence has been given, it's only a matter of next week it's part of the suspect," he added.

Kimberly Border's attorney, Machi Ahmad, explained the reason why the Religious Court refused because his client's divorce application was in accordance with the Islamic Law Company.

"Well, we also provide evidence that the Central Jakarta Religious Court is authorized in accordance with Article 132 KHI, the Compilement of Islamic Law. Where, Kim filed a lawsuit at the plaintiff's domicile and even without permission from the defendant, Kim here is not a wife who does not rebel or a wife who is not pious, that's the point," explained Machi Ahmad.

"And the judge, in this case, did not grant the exception and rejected the exception of Edward Akbar and stated that the Central Jakarta Religious Court was authorized and continued to the subject matter," he continued.

Machi added that in this trial, Kimberly had submitted other additional evidence and witness statements.

"Earlier, 15 pieces of evidence of the letter were submitted and also the three witnesses where we presented Mrs. Irvina, Kimberly's mother, Kimberly's younger sister, from Natasha and also from Kimberly's mother," he said.

"And the judge received it earlier and we have also proven all the questions with the relevant evidence of the video, and the judge accepted everything," he said.
