Jakarta 2024 Pilkada, For 2 Days The KPU Starts Distributing Logistics

Ahead of the implementation of the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election, the General Election Commission (KPU) of Central Jakarta City began distributing election logistics in the form of ballot boxes and ballot booths to eight warehouses in the Central Jakarta sub-district, Tuesday.

This logistics distribution is carried out under strict supervision by TNI/Polri officers and is supervised directly by the Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu). The logistics carrier truck arrived at the Cempaka Putih District office, Central Jakarta.

The head of the Central Jakarta KPU, Effniadiansyah, explained that the KPU had coordinated with the Central Jakarta City Government to anticipate logistical leakage in sub-district warehouses, learning from the previous 2024 General Election.

"This initial logistics distribution was carried out by the Central Jakarta City KPU to sub-district-level warehouses in the Cempaka Putih PPK, with logistical details in the form of ballot boxes and ballot booths. With a total of 145 polling stations, distribution is carried out according to the number of ballot boxes, where each polling station needs 4 ballot boxes, so for 145 polling stations it is necessary to 145 x 4 ballot boxes," explained Effniadiansyah.

The process of distributing ballot boxes and ballot booths to eight warehouses in the Central Jakarta sub-district will last for two days, namely on Tuesday (15/10/2024) and Wednesday (16/10/2024).

"We in Central Jakarta divided the distribution into two days. On October 15, distribution was carried out to four sub-districts, namely Cempaka Putih, Menteng, Tanah Abang, and Kemayoran. The rest, namely Sawah Besar, Johar Baru, Gambir, and Senen sub-districts, will be distributed on October 16," he said.

Around 1,555 ballot boxes and 3,000 ballot booths will be distributed to the sub-district to support the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election. In addition to boxes and ballot booths, other election logistics such as paper seales, plastic seales, ink, and ballots will also be distributed in turns to the sub-district level.
