Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 SE Appears With New Design In Latest Leaks

JAKARTA Samsung is reportedly developing a new version of its newest foldable phone, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 (Special Edition). This version is rumored to be coming in a slimmer shape than the original Galaxy Z Fold 6. The latest leak from tipster Evan Blass features the rendering of this device, which shows the design of the camera island as well as a fresher side frame.

According to the leak, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 (Special Edition) will be equipped with a rectangular camera island, in contrast to the pill-shaped design on the standard model. This camera island looks more prominent, which is in line with the increasingly thin mobile body. There is also speculation about an upgrade to the camera hardware "something users have long expected since the Galaxy Z Fold 4 in 2022."

Side-frame rendering shows a thinner form factor than the standard model. The frame has a texture that enhances the handle, and a color variant of rose gold is also visible. In addition, the placement of buttons and antenna lines is still the same as the regular model.

Ice Universe tipster recently mentioned that screen folding on the Galaxy Z Fold 6 (Special Edition) would be more invisible than the standard model. This is an important improvement, as previous generations did not show much progress in this area.

However, it should be noted that this rendering is based on leaked information, so it still needs to be watched out for until there is official confirmation.

Leaks previously stated that this phone will have a thickness of 10mm when folded and 4.9mm when opened, thinner than the Z Fold 6 which has a thickness of 12.1mm when folded and 5.6mm when opened. In terms of screen size, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 (Special Edition) is expected to carry an inner screen of 8 inches (up from 7.6 inches) and an outer screen of 6.5 inches (up from 6.3 inches).

Samsung India has listed the Galaxy Z Fold 6 (Special Edition) on its official website with the option of 12GB RAM and 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB storage. The product description also emphasizes an "ultra-light and thin" design, hinting at a slim form factor. Although the price has not been announced, the list shows a close launch.

A previous report also revealed that the phone could already be booked in South Korea, with deliveries starting on October 25.
