Fix Cipayung-Cilamayan Road In Cikarang, Bekasi Regency Government Targets End Of 2024 To Be Completed

BEKASI - The Bekasi Regency Government (Pemkab) repaired the Cipayung-Cilamayan Road Section in East Cikarang District due to landslides eroded by the Cibeet River.

Bekasi Regent Dedy Supriyadi said the construction of the landslide road was carried out by building 200 meters of road and 175 meters of retaining walls by related regional officials.

"God willing, this work can be completed at the end of November to December 15, 2024, according to the target so that it can be reused by the surrounding community," he said in Cikarang, Tuesday, October 15, which was confiscated by Antara.

He stated that the landslide work was also coupled with the construction of a concrete foundation of poles in order to have a sturdy construction to hold the walls of the ground so that it was stronger.

"Yes, this is the same as the work on Jalan Kalimalang, including having to drill the ground first and make retaining walls to ensure that the road becomes stronger," he said.

Dedy admitted that he had visited this location two years ago when a similar landslide occurred on Jalan Cipayung. His party then prepared a permanent work plan to repair this road.

"From a visit two years ago, we prepared a plan last year and this year it has been a handling process," he said.

He hopes that road repairs in these sections will be able to improve connectivity between regions so that it will also support accessibility to the movement of the community's economy.

"Because this deer is also used by the community as an agricultural route to alternative access to industrial areas," he said.
