The Boss Of PT RDG Airlines Was Questioned By The KPK Regarding Money And Aircraft In The Papua Governor's Operational Fund Corruption Case

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has examined the President Director of PT RDG Airlines, Gibrael Isaak as a witness on Monday, October 14. Investigators are questioning him about the flow of money to aircraft assets allegedly related to the alleged corruption of the operational funds of the governor and deputy governor of Papua.

"Witness GI was present. Investigators examined him regarding the flow of money and aircraft assets suspected of being a criminal act," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika to reporters in a written statement, Tuesday, October 15.

Tessa said the examination of GI was carried out at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta. However, he has not detailed further about the corruption case of the operational funds.

This alleged corruption was mentioned by KPK Deputy Chairman Alexander Marwata who said that Lukas Enembe's operational money was greater than the provisions of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri). The findings were obtained when the anti-corruption commission investigated the alleged bribery and gratuities that ensnared the former Papuan governor.

Lukas died when he was found guilty by the court. He breathed his last after undergoing treatment due to illness at the Gatot Subroto Army Hospital, Jakarta on December 26, 2023.

"Every year the operational funds concerned are more than IDR 1 trillion," Alex told reporters around September 2023.

Still in the same month, KPK Investigation Director Asep Guntur said the alleged corruption of the Papua Governor's operational funds involving Lukas Enembe would soon go up to investigation in September 2023. The final stage of preparation has been carried out.

"The case is not too long," said KPK Investigation Director Asep Guntur to reporters, Monday, September 18, 2023.

Asep did not want to specify the allegation, including anyone who was entangled other than Lukas. He only said that the construction of the case until the suspect would be submitted after the case was investigated.

"Is that the treasurer later, because the money is the treasurer, then the providers will ask for information later, we will check like that," he said.
