1. 2024 Sun Hung Kai Properties Hong Kong Cyclothon

Hong Kong's biggest cycling and carnival event promises new excitement (October 13). Boost your enthusiasm and your passion in the city's biggest cycling event. The event will be followed by 6,000 cyclists from around the world who will race for victory, motivated by the incredible natural and artificial views in Hong Kong. This year's edition will be bigger and better than ever before, with new elements including refined routes through four tunnels and three bridges hosting incredible views of the Hong Kong natural landscape and spectacular Victoria Harbor.

Other major highlights include a new endpoint for a 50- and 32-kilometer-long journey that has been refined at West Kowloon Cultural District (WKCD). The large port edge district will also host a sports-themed carnival and cycle that is open to all circles, featuring a photo-worthy installation, a cycling-themed market, yoga, stretching, and dance workshops, as well as local drinks and dishes - all located alongside Victoria Harbor and the world-famous Hong Kong horizon.

2. TransLantau: Get up to take part in the ultramarathon

With the natural background of Hong Kong's largest island (8-10 November). TransLantau by UTMB invites long-distance runners from all levels of experience to explore the challenging landscape and beauty of the wild on Lantau Island, Hong Kong's largest island, by presenting four running competitions with different levels of difficulty.

One of the legendary levels runners can follow is a 120-kilometer ultra challenge, which crosses a diverse landscape of two country parks on the island. Lantau Island offers a very contrasting view to Hong Kong's bustling landscape, giving runners an extraordinary journey through iconic landmarks such as Tai O's fishing village, the majestic Big Buddha, and much more.

3. Oxfam Trailwalker 2024

Climbing Hong Kong's highest peak for charity (15-17 November). As Hong Kong's biggest climbing fundraising event, Oxfam Trailwalker promises adventurers an amazing journey to climb the highest peak in the city, Tai Mo Shan, which presents a spectacular sight of Hong Kong's natural and urban landscape pairing from an altitude of 957 meters. A new 40-kilometer route is available this year for new and inexperienced participants, but be prepared to face the challenging climbing and steep terrain along the road.

4. Hong Kong STREETATHON

Let the streets guide you in a leisurely run in urban areas (8 December). HONG KONG STREETATHON, which is well-known, is entirely taking place in the city center around Victoria Harbor, and ends with a half-Martinary marathon across ports across Hong Kong and Kowloon.

Routes traversed across various amazing natural landscapes, including Hong Kong UNESCO Global Geopark, remote beaches and still natural, ancient forests, natural routes, reservoirs, and steep hills, which offer contestants stunning natural views as well as opportunities to explore some hydrant gems in Hong Kong.
