Pakistani Police Headquarters Attacked By Militant Group, 3 Officers Killed
JAKARTA - At least three officers were killed in a militant group attack on police headquarters in northwest Pakistan, on Monday, October 14.
A high-ranking police officer who did not wish to be named told Reuters that three of his attackers died at the scene.
The perpetrators came from the Pakistan Tereek-e-Taliban Islamist militant group.
The source added that the streets around the police headquarters complex had been closed. Security forces are moving to neutralize the remaining attackers.

Police sources detailed that the police headquarters, which was attacked in Bannu District, borders the North Waziristan District, which is a volatile area on the Pakistan-Afghanian border.
Bannu District is about 350 kilometers from Pakistan's capital, Islamabad.
Today, the district is in a strict security status due to the arrival of Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang ahead of this week's regional leaders meeting.
