Latest IMac M4 Rumors, Starting From Chip Performance To Wi-Fi Improvement

JAKARTA Apple is expected to release four new devices in October, one of which is the iMac M4. In recent months, there have been many rumors about this device, from memory to port.

The first rumor that has emerged a lot, reported by 9to5mac, is that the M4 chip will be added to the device. This processor will use TSMC's second-generation 3nm fabrication. Thanks to the 10 core CPU, its performance improvement will reach 20 to 25 percent.

In addition to the upgraded processor, it is reported that the basic iMac M4 model will use 16 GB RAM with an option to upgrade to 32 GB. In the previous generation, this computer only got 24 GB of additional RAM options.

The next widely circulated rumor is the Thunderbolts port which is more numerous than ever. iMac M4 will probably get two Thunderbolt ports for the basic model, while the more expensive model has four Thunderbolt ports.

However, another rumor reveals that this port will split into two for the high-end IMac M4 model. Two ports are of USB-C type, while the other two ports remain Thunderbolt. This is an unusual improvement as the iMac M3 only has two ports.

The next increase arises in terms of Wi-Fi. This computer is expected to support the Wi-Fi 7 standard with a speed of 46 Gbps, five times faster than the Wi-Fi 6E which is only 9 Gbps. This latest version of Wi-Fi can reduce signal congestion disturbances.

There are still many iMac M4 rumors circulating, such as the size of the device that only has one to the accessories with USB-C to comply with European regulations. It is not known with certainty whether all these rumors are true. To find out, we need to wait until the device is introduced to the public.
