Regarding The Sustainability Of 3 Post-Uncle Birin Projects Suspected Of Bribery, South Kalimantan Provincial Government Coordinates With KPK

JAKARTA - The Provincial Government (Pemprov) of South Kalimantan (Kalsel) is coordinating with the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) regarding the continuation of three projects in South Kelel after the appointment of South Kalimantan Governor Sahbirin Noor or Uncle Birin as suspects in the alleged bribery case.

"We are coordinating and consulting with the KPK first for the continuation of projects previously investigated by the KPK," said South Kalimantan Regional Secretary (Sekda) Roy Rizali Anwar after the 'Kick Off FOLU Net Sink' activity in Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan, Monday, October 14, was confiscated by Antara.

He explained that not only the three projects involved as the flow of alleged corruption will be consulted, but will also discuss several other projects if the KPK has the potential to be investigated in the aftermath of OTT involving officials at the South Kalimantan Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR) Office on Sunday 6 October.

"We will also coordinate related to other projects. However, I make sure all activities run smoothly, all activities at the PUPR Service run normally," he said.

Roy said that currently the process of appointing the head of the PUPR Service after the head of the related service was also named by the KPK as one of the suspects in the OTT held by the KPK.

Meanwhile, he said, the Secretary of the South Kalimantan PUPR Service was appointed as the Acting Head of the South Kalimantan PUPR Service while waiting for the process of appointing the acting head of the office.

"The Secretary of the PUPR Service has filled the vacancy for the position of head of service temporarily, all daily activities are carried out by the person concerned," said Roy.

When asked about the vacancy in positions and the governor's case, the South Kalimantan Regional Secretary was reluctant to provide more detailed information. Roy explained more about the officials who filled the leadership vacancies at the South Kalimantan PUPR Service.

Previously, the KPK named South Kalimantan Governor Sahbirin Noor as a suspect in the alleged corruption case within the South Kalimantan Provincial Government.

The KPK named the Governor of South Kalimantan as a suspect after finding sufficient preliminary evidence for the alleged receipt of gifts or promises by state officials in South Kalimantan Province for the period 2024-2025.

The KPK also named four officials within the South Kalimantan Provincial Government as suspects, namely the Head of the South Kalimantan PUPR Service Ahmad Solhan (SOL), the Head of Cipta Karya, the South Kalimantan PUPRS Office, Yulianti Erlynah (YUL), the Treasurer of the Tahfidz Darussalam Ahmad House (AMD), and the Acting Head of Household for the Governor of South Kalimantan Agustya Febry Andrean (FEB).

In addition, there are still two other suspects from the private sector, namely Sugeng Wahyudi (YUD) and Andi Susanto (AND).

The KPK has detained six suspects in the case, while the Governor of South Kalimantan has not yet been detained.

However, the Governor of South Kalimantan has filed a pretrial lawsuit at the South Jakarta District Court (PN) regarding the determination of the suspect against him by the KPK. The first trial of the lawsuit is scheduled for Monday, October 28.

"The KPK will face and oversee the process through the Legal Bureau in accordance with applicable regulations regarding the pretrial lawsuit of the Governor of South Kalimantan," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardhika Sugiarto when confirmed in Jakarta, Friday, October 11.
