Israeli Air Strike Destroys Gaza Martyrs Hospital, Kills 4 People, 40 Burns

JAKARTA - Israeli airstrikes destroyed tents at the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in the center of Deir Al-Balah, Gaza, Palestine on Monday, October 14, early morning local time.

Quoting AP, Palestinian medical personnel said at least four people were killed.

The airstrike also burned tents full of sleeping refugees, causing 40 people to suffer burns.

Israel claimed that the airstrike carried out by its military had again claimed civilian lives, claiming that it was targeting militants in hiding. This excuse was again presented by Israel without providing evidence.

Video footage obtained by AP shows many of the fatalities of the Israeli attack on the hospital were children.

Also seen in the footage is a man sobbing while holding a toddler with a bandaged head in his hands.

Another small child with a bandaged leg was seen being given a blood transfusion on the crowded hospital floor.

Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital recorded four people killed and 40 others injured. A total of 24 victims have been transferred to Nasser Hospital in southern Gaza because they suffered severe burns.

Israel is known to still carry out airstrikes throughout the Gaza Strip almost every day for more than a year. The Israeli military also invaded northern Gaza with a massive ground attack.
