Rayakan 150 TahunUPU, Kominfo Dan Pos Indonesia Luncurkan Pranko Khusus
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Communication and Information together with PT Pos Indonesia launched a 150-year series stamp for the World Postal Union (UPU) Association.
Minister of Communication and Information Budi Arie Setiadi said that the launch of this stamp was a form of appreciation for the history and dedication of the international organization in maintaining global connectivity.
"Maintaining the quality of postal services at affordable rates, as well as assisting members in developing telecommunications technology and information according to the times," Budi continued at the launch of the 150-Year World Pos Association series stamp on Monday, October 14.
The launch of the stamp was marked by the signing of the First Day Cover (SHP) by the Minister of Communication and Information Budi Arie Setiadi, Deputy Minister of Communication and Information Nezar Patria, and President Director of PT Pos Indonesia Faizal Rochmad Djoemadi.
Budi also said that Indonesia had joined the UPU organization since 1877 or 147 years ago. So far, Indonesia has always actively participated in strengthening international cooperation as an effort to improve connectivity and quality of postal services at the global level.
According to him, stamps are not only a means of payment for sending letters, but also a symbol of the historical, artistic and cultural values of the nation.

Budi Arie also appreciated the involvement of all parties in organizing this event, including the Ministry of Communication and Information, PT Pos Indonesia, Perum PERURI, and various other partners.
