Pramono-Rano Accommodates The Aspirations Of Gender Equality Through Gemala

JAKARTA - The winning team for the candidate pair for the Governor of Jakarta, Pramono Anung-Rano Karno, accommodates the aspirations and hopes of women and young people to be included in the program if elected in the Jakarta gubernatorial election.

This aspiration was voiced in a discussion activity held by the Young Women's Movement of East Jakarta (Gemala). The Head of Youth for the Pramono-Rano Winning Team, Agustina Hermanto (Tina Toon) mentioned the many aspirations he received, including the issue of gender equality in the recruitment of labor in government agencies.

What they said was actually more about hope. For example, those from health workers, they want to be even, here. Don't put the woman where he put it, where the man put it. Also, how come it is centralized in one place and so on," said Tina Toon in the Tebet area, South Jakarta, Sunday, October 13.

In addition, Pramono-Rano timses also received aspirations to increase the representation of women in government and legislature.

Tina, who is also a member of the PDIP faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, admitted that the aspirations absorbed will also be stated in the preparation of policies by the DKI Provincial Government and the DKI Jakarta DPRD.

"At this rate, we will immediately hear, right. Oh, I know there is this problem. Actually, the government's job is to solve it with existing policies and budgets, right," said Tina.

In addition, Gemala Founder, Putri Jasmine revealed the reason for her to facilitate voices that raise issues of women and young people in Jakarta. According to him, there are still many needs and aspirations of young people in Jakarta that have not been realized.

"As with the field of work, 10 million Gen Z in DKI Jakarta is unemployed. Also for the training of MSMEs that are lacking, given cheap basic commodities, and all kinds of things," said Jasmine.

Jasmine stated that many of Pramono-Rano's vision and mission had touched the needs of young women. With that, it is hoped that Jakarta will be more friendly to women and young people.

"Maybe with the program Bang Doel and Mas Pram too, regarding CCTV in any area, to the sub-district and sub-district, it might be a concrete form to help women and young people in the future," explained Jasmine.
