34 Countries Demand UNIFIL Personnel Security Guarantee In Lebanon
A total of 34 countries that contribute to the UN Temporary Forces in Lebanon (UNIFIL) issued a joint statement calling for protection for UN peacekeepers amid rising tensions in the region.
A number of these countries, including Brazil, China, France, Turkey, and Britain. They ensure full support for UNIFIL's mission to bring stability to southern Lebanon and promote peace.
A joint statement, initiated by Poland, strongly condemns the attacks on the peacekeepers. "Such action must be stopped immediately and must be investigated adequately," the statement said.

The statement urges all parties to respect the presence of UNIFIL and ensure the safety of its members. "We reaffirm our commitment to multilateral cooperation with the United Nations," he said.
His party called for respect for international law, particularly the UN Charter and relevant Security Council resolutions.
