KPK: Golden Indonesia Is Not A Dream If Young People Are Anti-Corruption

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) encourages young people to actively help eradicate corruption in the country. One way is by growing an honest attitude and integrity.

This was conveyed by the Director of Community Participation Development of the KPK Kumbul Kusdwidjanto Sudjadi when holding the 2024 Anti-Corruption Class and NGO activities in Mamuju, West Sulawesi on October 9-10.

"Young people must have strong character, honesty, and integrity to become future leaders free from corruption," said Kumbul as quoted from the KPK's official statement, Saturday, October 12.

Kumbul said the active role of young people in eradicating corruption was very much needed. Moreover, the number of youths in Indonesia reaches 64.16 million people or around 23.18 percent of the total population based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) 2023.

"If they can instill anti-corruption values, Indonesia Gold 2045 is not just a dream," continued Kumbul.

This activity was attended by 100 selected youths from various cities in West Sulawesi. The participants received various understandings about corruption, anti-corruption journalism training to the role of the community in preventing corruption. The material is conveyed through an interactive approach or fun learning so that it is easier to accept.
