NASA Will Highlight Space Sustainability And Artemis Mission At IAC 2024
JAKARTA NASA will be one of the space agencies that will be present at the International Astronautical Congress (IAC). The event will be held in Milan, Italy from Monday, October 14 to Friday, October 17.
A number of delegates from NASA will be led directly by NASA Administrator Bill Nelson and NASA Deputy Administrator Pam Melroy. The two will discuss the Low-Earth Orbit Microgravity Strategy (LEO) during the congress.
By bringing the topic, NASA wants to demonstrate their commitment and efforts in advancing science, technology, and microgravity exploration. NASA's delegation will also discuss their commitment to supporting space sustainability.
Talks about the two topics will be broadcast online via NASA's YouTube channel for two different days. NASA will also discuss the Moon's exploration approach to Mars and the Artemis Agreement.

On Monday, October 14 at 18.45 WIB, all heads of the Agency will face-to-face, including Nelson. At 23.15 WIB, the Plenary Session of Hosts on Responsible and Sustainable Space Exploration for the Moon to Mars will be held.
Meanwhile, on October 16 at 20.00 WIB, the topic of the New Era in Human Presence will be discussed. In this talk, Melroy will appear. Apart from attending the two talks sessions, NASA will also attend the IAC 2024 main agenda.
The US space agency will be present from October 14 to 16 with different discussion topics. To attract more countries in supporting the Artemis mission, Nelson will discuss international partnerships related to the mission on October 15.
