DKI Transportation Agency Has No Car Free Day On October 13 And 20
JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) canceled the implementation of Motor Vehicle Free Day (HBKB) or Car Free Day (CFD) on October 13 and 20.
HBKB was abolished because on both dates there were two big agendas, namely the Jakarta Running Fest 2024 on October 13 and the inauguration of the President and Vice President 2024-2029 on October 20.
"For the sake of the smooth running of the event, the Department of Transportation as the Head of the HBKB Implementation Team recommended the cancellation of the HBKB on both dates," said Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, October 10.
Based on DKI Jakarta Governor Regulation (Pergub) Number 12 of 2016 concerning the Implementation of Motor Vehicle Free Day, this activity can be abolished if there are special activities and require certain traffic regulations.
Article 5 paragraph 1 of Governor Regulation Number 12 of 2016 stipulates that the implementation of the HBKB can be canceled if the same time an activity (event) is carried out specifically both nationally and internationally.
Syafrin hopes that the public can understand this policy and continue to support the smooth running of the upcoming event.
