YouTube Doesn't Eliminate Backtime Calculators In Advertising 'Advertising' Button
JAKARTA Previously, reports emerged that YouTube removed the countdown time on the ad access button on a free account. Shortly after this news circulated, YouTube provided clarification.
The Google-owned company explained to Android Police that the retail time counter is still used at the same duration, which is five seconds. However, the writing did not stand out as before to simplify the video display.
YouTube Ad Communications Manager, Oluwa Falodun. also explained that this countdown can still be seen on the screen, but with a smaller look. If you see a moving yellow line, that line is a backward time counter.
"In ads that can be crossed, the button appears after 5 seconds of playback, as usual," Falodun said. "Audiences on mobile and desktop devices may be counters of backward times that appear as a bar of progress at the bottom of the screen."
