Lazada Launches Surabaya Special Page To Support Local MSMEs

JAKARTA - Lazada Indonesia launched Lazada Surabaya along with the start of the online shopping festival 10.10 LazADA in Surabaya, as a hyperlocal strategy in line with the increasing number of purchases in the region.

Lazada's hyperlocal efforts in Surabaya are in line with data from the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology in 2024 which shows that Surabaya recorded the Indonesian Digital Community Index (IMDI) of 52.28 with a classification of 'High'.

This data shows the high ability of the people of Surabaya to use digital technology in their daily lives and work.

Lazada's hyperlocal strategy is specifically believed to make it easier for customers to shop online easily, comfortably, and quickly, said Lazada Indonesia CEO James Chang in his official statement.

Lazada's presence in Surabaya will be strengthened through the launch of the Surabaya special website in the Lazada application, presenting regional offices and special Surabaya teams, as well as the development of a local warehousing and logistics system.

"To approach the supply chain to customers in Surabaya is our main focus in Lazada Surabaya, to ensure customers can get their order goods easily, safely, and on time," added James.

Meanwhile, local sellers benefit from Lazada logistics services that reach customers in Surabaya specifically and on target.

Supported by logistics and local shipping partners who have qualified regional control, Lazada develops a comprehensive logistics system in Surabaya.
